The Washington Huskies will take the national stage on Saturday when ESPN College GameDay travels to the Seattle for the Oregon-Washington game.

The announcement was made via Twitter:  “BOW DOWN! We are heading to Seattle!"

The show is known for it's live, on site, format.  Fans are encouraged to wave signs, sing fight songs, and cheer in full view behind the show's hosts.  It has also become a three-hour promotion for the host university and city.

"What a great opportunity for us," says former Husky Quarterback Damon Huard.  "To show showcase the rich tradition this school has had, and where this program is headed."

It will be the first time the show has come to Seattle.

"I'm ready, so excited, super pumped," says UW Junior Tim Carter, who says he'll camp out to get the best position.  "I'm gonna be decked out in purple, try to make a sign, we'll see what happens."

UW Athletic Department Spokesperson Jeff Bechtold says ESPN will have producers on campus on Monday to site survey, and figure out the best location for the on site set.  The show will air live at 6am Pacific on Saturday morning.

Kickoff between the Huskies and Ducks is at 1 p.m.

No. 16 Washington (4-1) lost to fifth-ranked Stanford 31-28 on Saturday, while the Ducks (5-0) crushed Colorado, 57-16.
