The desert has been inhospitable for Ducks

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon Ducks aren't buying into a Tucson Curse, although they certainly have had their share of bad luck at Arizona in recent years.

In Oregon's past two trips to Tucson, the team lost its starting quarterback to injury — first Kellen Clemens in 2005 and then Dennis Dixon in 2007.

Oregon again visits Arizona this Saturday with both teams playing for a Rose Bowl berth. The 11th-ranked Ducks sit atop the league standings, and can visit Pasadena in the new year if they win out.

The Wildcats are on Oregon's heels with two league losses, along with Oregon State and Stanford, and could earn a trip to their first-ever Rose Bowl by winning their final three games.
