SEATTLE, Wash. -- The Oregon Ducks cruised past the Washington Huskies 43-19 on a clear, crisp afternoon at Husky Stadium Saturday.
The Huskies struck first and held their only lead, 3-0, after the first quarter. But the Ducks intercepted the Huskies in the Oregon end zone to thwart a Washington drive, then Oregon used a fake field goal to keep their own drive alive and score a touchdown to build a 15-6 halftime lead.
Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli rushed for two touchdowns and passed for a third to lead the Ducks.
Oregon running back LaMichael James rushed for 1512 yards on 15 carries and also scored twice.
Oregon took advantage of Washington's mistakes and the Ducks' defense forced three turnovers, corralled Jake Locker and didn't let the Huskies into the end zone until the fourth quarter.
Oregon extended its dominance of Washington to six straight -- longest in the history of the series. All six wins in the Ducks streak have been by more than 20 points.
With the win, the 11th ranked Ducks move to 6-1 overall.
