Greg Oden said he was ready for the NBA draft in his first year of college ball.

The son of Zoe Oden and Greg Oden was rated the No. 1 high school player on Sports Illustrated's Web list of 2006 Top 100 players, according to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

He was born January 22, 1988 in Indianapolis and went on to attend Lawrence North High School. The Wildcats took three consecutive Class 4A state titles. Oden never lost a conference game and never lost at home.

Oden has one brother, Anthony, a who will be a senior at Lawrence North.

Oden recently signed an endorsement deal with Nike, and also a three-year contract with the trading card company Topps worth at least $3 million.

The Buckeyes won the Big Ten's regular-season and tournament titles before advancing to their first national championship game since 1962. Oden led the Buckeyes in scoring and topped the Big Ten in shooting percentage.

He said he enjoys watching television and going to movies, and enjoys speaking to young people, according to his Alma Mater.
