Blazers busy on eve of NBA draft

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The NBA draft is Thursday night and all the experts seem to agree that the unexpected should be expected.

The Los Angeles Clippers will almost certainly take Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin with the first pick. After that, it's anyone's guess.

The unexpected has come to be expected of Trail Blazers general manger Kevin Pritchard, who has engineered 15 draft-day trades in the past three years.

He has ample resources to deal in the coming hours. The Blazers have a deep roster and five choices in the two-round draft.

In recent weeks, the Blazers have evaluated more than 50 prospects during nine predraft workouts at their practice facility in Tualatin.
