CORVALLIS – Three Oregon State University football players are likely to miss the Alamo Bowl after spending two nights in jail on assault charges.
Junior linebacker Dyllon Mafi (pictured, left), and junior defensive tackle Tyler “Mana” Rosa (pictured, right) were booked in the Benton County Jail after a bar fight in Corvallis early Saturday morning. Senior defensive end Rudolph Fifita (pictured, center) was booked in the Linn County Jail.
The three players were at Impulse Bar & Grill at 1425 NW Monroe Avenue in Corvallis when they got into an argument with another man just after 2 a.m., said Lt. Cord Wood with the Corvallis Police Department.
After punches were thrown a second man tried to step in and was assaulted, Wood said.
The three men were arraigned on charges of assault and disorderly conduct Monday afternoon. Several of their OSU teammates were on hand to greet them at the courthouse when they were released.
All three payers were suspended and were likely to miss the Alamo Bowl on December 29, head coach Mike Riley said.
