OREGON CITY -- A prominent youth basketball coach has been jailed in Clackamas County after his arrest Thursday on sex abuse accusations.
Thara Kumbeno Memory, 32, was being held on $250,000 bail on accusations of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, first-degree
sexual abuse and first-degree burglary. Further details were not available.
He is a coach for the I-5 Elite youth basketball team and is head of a teaching clinic called Hoop Dreams International. Websites show
that Memory has created a network of supporters that college and professional athletes and businesses.
