AMERICAN JOHN ISNER OF TAMPA, FLORIDA BATTLING NICOLAS MAHUT OF FRANCE STARTED PLAYING YESTERDAY...BUT HAD TO STOP IN THE FIFTH SET BECAUSE OF DARKNESS.

THEY PICKED UP TODAY...AND NEVER STOPPED UNTIL IT WAS TOO DARK AGAIN. RIGHT NOW THEY ARE TIED AT 59-59 IN THE FIFTH SET.

THEY HAVE BEEN PLAYING TEN HOURS. THAT'S ALMOST FOUR HOURS LONGER THAT THE PREVIOUS RECORD.

FORMER WIMBLEDON CHAMP JOHN MCENROE SAID THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW TIMES HE ACTUALLY FEELS SORRY FOR THE UMPIRE.
