PORTLAND -- Portland's new Major League Soccer team will be kicking off the season soon, and they offered fans the last pre-season tour through PGE Park Sunday.
Construction crews only had six months to transform the park into a soccer stadium.
Now, just a few weeks before the big home opener, the Timbers Army couldn't be more excited!
“I’m hardcore,” said fan Don Cox. “I was here at the first game in 1975.”
And he's been a diehard member of the Timbers Army ever since.
PGE Park hasn't experienced a change like this since the day it was built in 1926.
The park now has an upscale club restaurant and bar, where fans can be served while watching games. A new team store is being built, along with a sports medicine clinic, all of which will be open to the public.
The Timbers home opener is set for April 14th. PGE Park will also be home for PSU football.
