Timbers give Parkrose High $50,000

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Timbers and owner Merritt Paulson presented a check for $50,000 Friday toward a soccer center for the Parkrose School District.

The soccer center will be at Parkrose High and will host district students, soccer clubs, and kids from all over east Portland.

The Timbers said this is the first of a multi-year commitment to improve sports opportunities in the area.
