EUGENE, Ore. -- The London Olympics are now less than two months away, and for U.S. track and field hopefuls, the road to the Olympics runs through Eugene.
The U.S. Olympic trials for track and field started Thursday at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field. The trials continue through July 1. Single day tickets are available at the University of Oregon ticket office.
The event is the largest national championship track meet in the world and athletes will be picked to represent Team USA in London.
The 2012 Olympics take place from July 27 until August 12.
