CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Nike on Wednesday unveiled the new "pro combat" uniforms developed for the Oregon State University Beavers football team.
The new look is a revival of the 1967 uniform, then referred to as the "giant killers." They Beavers earned the nickname that year after beating the USC Trojans, No. 2 Purdue and the rival Ducks.

Some of the tech specs: the uniforms are 37-percent lighter than the current design.
Nike said four-way stretch fabric sheds sweat and water. Dual-density foam pads provide greater mobility.
Other teams that got the new Nike designs this year were Miami, Alabama, Boise State, Florida, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, TCU, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
