PORTLAND -- Former United States SR. Open Golf Champion Peter Jacobsen of Portland will miss the Jeld Wen Tradition in Central Oregon this weekend.

Jacobsen pulled out of the Sr. Open near Seattle last month with a leg injury.

He was having nerve pain in his leg and underwent back surgery on August 9th in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jacobsen had bone spurs and fragments removed from a disc in his lower back.

He was expected to take three to four weeks off before starting to hit balls again.
