PORTLAND -- A report by a Chicago Bulls beat writer suggests that Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge may want out of Portland.
The story by Mike McGraw said "word is, Aldridge wants to escape from Portland's rebuilding project and has made it known that he'd like to land in Chicago."
Unlikely, he continues to write. The Blazers would want big man Joakim Noah for Aldridge.
Sports columnist and KGW contributor John Canzano suggests that trading Aldridge isn't that farfetched.
"His position, the power forward is the easiest position to reload at," he said on Live at 7. "Go back, Jermain O'Neal, Rasheed Wallace, Zach Randolph, LaMarcus Aldridge, they all played to same position, so you can reload at that position."
That makes Aldridge a true commodity for a trade, Canzano said.
"If the Blazers are smart, that's a huge a huge asset that they maybe could trade, but you have to get a sweetheart back."
