SEATTLE -- Former Washington Huskies and Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens was arrested again in Florida Wednesday for violation of his probation.
Stevens was arrested at his home at 10 a.m. The probation violation was related to marijuana possession, according to the booking information on the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office website.
Stevens made news earlier this month when he was arrested in Kirkland, Wash. after a Nov. 13 dispute that also involved his then-fiance’ and now wife, U.S. soccer star Hope Solo.
Stevens was arrested for domestic violence. A judge determined there wasn't enough evidence to hold Stevens, but the matter remained under investigation.
Stevens and Solo were married the next day.
Solo, who will play in an exhibition match against Ireland in Portland Wednesday, told the Associated Press that the incident was overblown and that Stevens has never hit her.
"It's unfortunate what the media can do to judge before the facts are out there. It's hard to see, but it's a hard truth, and it's part of life," she said. "I'm happy. I'm happily married. I would never stand for domestic violence. I've never been hit in my life.”
Stevens has had several run-ins with the law dating back to his days at Washington.
