MOSCOW -- England's Mo Farah won the 5,000 meters Friday at the world track & field championships in 13.26.98, besting second place Hagos Gebrhiwet of Ethiopia who ran 13.27.26.
Farah's training partner Galen Rupp finished eighth at 13:29.87. Their coach is Nike-based Alberto Salazar.
American Bernard Lagat's time was 13.29.24. Ryan Hill finished 10th at 10.32.69.
Farah and Rupp finished one, two in the 10k at the 2012 London Olympics.
