Blazers kick off season Wednesday in Phoenix

PHOENIX – The regular season kicks off for the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night when they take on the Suns in Phoenix.

The Suns have won five of their last seven games against the Trail Blazers, including the last four in Phoenix.

But the Blazers have won their last four season openers, beating their opponents by an average of 9.3 points per game.

The game starts at 7 and will be broadcast on KGW NewsChannel 8.

The Blazers’ home opener is Saturday, when they’ll host defending Western Conference champions the San Antonio Spurs.
