PORTLAND – The 2014 NBA All-Star game will feature two Portland Trail Blazers for the first time since 1994.

The league announced Thursday that forward LaMarcus Aldridge and point guard Damian Lillard were named to the All-Star reserves by a vote of head coaches in the Western Conference.

Aldridge will be playing in his third-consecutive All-Star game and becomes the fifth player in franchise history to make the team three times, joining the ranks of Clyde Drexler, Sidney Wicks, Maurice Lucas and Brandon Roy.

Lillard, last year’s NBA Rookie of the Year, will be making his first All-Star appearance in a season where he’s averaging 20.6 points, 3.5 boards, and 5.6 assists. He leads all sophomores in scoring and assists.

The NBA All-Star Game tips off at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 in New Orleans.

The starters for the Western Conference All-Star team include the Lakers' Kobe Bryant, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant, the Clippers' Blake Griffin, Minnesota's Kevin Love and Golden State's Stephen Curry.

In addition to Aldridge and Lillard, the reserves include Houston's James Harden and Dwight Howard, Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, San Antonio's Tony Parker and the Clippers' Chris Paul.

The East's starters are Cleveland's Kyrie Irving, Miami's Dwyane Wade, Miami's LeBron James, the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and Indiana's Paul George.

They'll be joined by Miami's Chris Bosh, Toronto's DeMar DeRozan, Atlanta's Paul Millsap, the Wizards' John Wall, Brooklyn's Joe Johnson, Indiana's Roy Hibbert and Chicago's Joakim Noah.

The East team will be coached by Indiana's Frank Vogel, while Oklahoma City's Scott Brooks will lead the West.

Aldridge and Lillard were added earlier this month to the USA Basketball 2014-16 roster.
