PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Elizabeth Brenner led fourth-ranked Jesuit with 25 points and 12 rebounds as the Crusaders defeated second-ranked South Eugene 61-46 at the Rose Garden Friday to advance to the OSAA Class 6A girls final.
Senior Alyssa Martin made a three-pointer to give Jesuit (22-6) a 49-41 lead with 3:04 left in the game and the Axemen were never able to recover. Martin finished with 10 points.
Tasha Wilkins led the Crusaders on the defensive end with six steals.
South Eugene (25-4) was led by Mackenzie Kerins who scored 16 points, collected 11 rebounds, and had six blocked shots. Ellen Cook scored 15.
Jesuit will play the winner of Friday's late semifinal game between Southridge and Oregon City in Saturday's championship game. The Crusaders of Beaverton have never won a state title.
