Greece beats Mexico in Under-20 WCup

TRABZON, Turkey (AP) — Greece scored late to beat Mexico 2-1 Saturday at the start of the Under-20 World Cup, and South American champion Colombia was held 1-1 by Australia.

Andreas Bouchalakis scored in the 16th minute for Greece which is making its first appearance at the 24-team tournament. Mexico's Jorge Espericueta tied it in the 40th minute of the Group D match but Greece's Dimitrios Kolovos scored a late winner in the 88th.

In a Group C early match, Colombia came from a goal down to earn a hard fought draw with Australia.

Sixteen-year-old Daniel De Silva, the youngest player at the tournament, opening the scoring in the 46th only to see Colombia tie it in the 78th.
