NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The New York Jets and Tennessee Titans are duking it out in tonight's NFL game. The Jets need a win as they are still alive in the AFC playoff race at 6-7 on the season. The Titans have been eliminated.

UNDATED (AP) — Duke is No. 1 in the new Associated Press men's basketball poll. This marks the 123rd week the Blue Devils have held the top ranking in the AP poll. Rounding out the top-five this week are Michigan, followed by Syracuse, Arizona and Louisville.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Third-ranked Syracuse has a home game this evening with Detroit. A win would be the 900th for coach Jim Boeheim (BAY'-hym), making him just the third coach to reach that level in major college basketball.

NEW YORK (AP) — It appears a deal has been reached between the Blue Jays and National League Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey. A person familiar with the deal tells The Associated Press that the deal clears the way for the New York Mets to trade Dickey to Toronto. The 38-year-old knuckleballer must pass a physical before he joins the Blue Jays.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame, which is getting ready for the BCS championship game, got some good news today as nose guard Louis Nix III and offensive tackle Zack Martin announced they will skip the NFL draft and return to school next year. The 325-pound Nix had 45 tackles and two sacks while Martin is Notre Dame's top offensive lineman and a three-year starter.
