BOSTON (AP) — Pete Sampras won the Staples Champions Cup on Friday for his second PowerShares Series' victory in two nights, beating John McEnroe 6-1 at the TD Garden.
Sampras beat Ivan Lendl on Thursday night in Auburn Hills, Mich., after losing to McEnroe on Wednesday night in the final in Chicago.
In the semifinals, Sampras beat Jim Courier 6-3, and McEnroe topped Lendl 6-2.
