GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Steve Spurrier returns to the Swamp this evening. Spurrier's seventh-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks invade Gainesville to play the second-ranked Florida Gators, a team Spurrier played for and later coached to a national title.
NEW YORK (AP) — The NHL's third lockout since 1994 has caused the league to cancel games through Nov. 1. In order for a full 82-game schedule to be played, the league is telling the players union a deal must be reached by Thursday -- but there are no talks even scheduled.
