David Cassidy - Television Correspondent

Dave Cassidy joined the Belo Capital Bureau when it opened in 1997, serving first as Broadcast Bureau Chief. These days, Dave does live reports every morning from the White House - previewing major stories from the nation's capital. Dave began his reporting career in 1974 at WFAA Television in Dallas, Texas. In 1987, he was named "Best Reporter" by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters. He later served as News Director at KOTV Television in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and at WVEC Television in Norfolk, Virginia. Dave's a graduate of the University of Cincinnati - and Northwestern University. He and his wife, Ann Marie, have two children.
