Fullback Owen Schmitt
BLACK DIAMOND, Wash. - Seahawks fullback Owen Schmitt was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of drunken driving.
The 24-year-old was pulled over Saturday in Black Diamond after an officer observed him weaving on the roadway, according to the Black Diamond Police Department. Police say his breath alcohol results were more than .08 over the legal limit.
He will be arraigned July 8.

"I sincerely apologize to the team, the NFL, the fans and my family and friends for my actions and my poor judgment," Schmitt said in a statement released to the press."I fully understand the seriousness of this matter, and I am disappointed in myself. I am committed to earning back the trust of everyone affected."
Seahawks coach Jim Mora has said this spring he was confident in the fifth-round draft choice in 2008 out of West Virginia, who is known for his fearless playing style and his Mohawk haircut.
Two weeks ago, Mora said Schmitt would enter training camp next month as the starter ahead of seven-year veteran Justin Griffith, who was Mora's fullback when both were with the Atlanta Falcons a few years ago.
Last year's starting fullback, Leonard Weaver, left Seattle as a free agent and signed with Philadelphia.
Schmitt played in 15 games for the Seahawks as a rookie last season, mostly on special teams.
