KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Seahawks 2008 preseason opponents were announced Thursday by the National Football League.

Three of the four games will be broadcast on KING 5 or KONG 6/16.

Seattle opens preseason play Saturday, Aug. 9 at Minnesota vs. the Vikings. This will be the fourth time in five seasons the two teams have met in the preseason.

Seattle returns home the following Saturday when they host the Chicago Bears on Aug. 16.

The Seahawks then travel to San Diego for an ESPN Monday Night Football matchup vs. the Chargers on Aug. 25.

Seattle wraps up the preseason at home against the Oakland Raiders for the third consecutive season. The game will be played Friday, Aug. 29.

In preseason play, Seattle is 6-5 vs. Minnesota; 1-1 vs. Chicago; 5-3 vs. San Diego; and 5-2 vs. Oakland.

The Aug. 9 game and the Aug. 16 game will air on KONG 6/16. The Aug. 25 game will air on ESPN and the Aug. 29 game will air on KING 5.
