SEATTLE – Former Seattle Seahawks and Washington Huskies quarterback Warren moon will be arraigned next month on DUI charges.
According to The Seattle Times, prosecutors the Hall of Fame quarterback who now does color commentary on Seahawks radio broadcasts, will enter a plea Feb. 5 in Kirkland Municipal Court.
Medina Police say Moon was arrested Dec. 28 when a Medina police officer spotted Moon's vehicle on the State Route 520 floating bridge around 2 a.m. with expired tabs.
Moon's Washington driver's license had been revoked, but he had a valid Texas driver's license.
Moon was arrested on suspicion of DUI, then later released from a Kirkland police station.
Last year, Moon pleaded guilty to negligent driving after being arrested for possible DUI in April 2007. He was pulled over for DUI, but once at the police station, blew a .068 and a .067 which are below the legal limit in Washington State of .08.
"I feel like I learned a valuable lesson that night," Moon told the judge before his sentencing that day "The fact that I had alcohol in my system even though I wasn't over the limit, I understand that I could still be a danger to citizens out in our community."
