NEW YORK - The Seattle Mariners are at new Yankee Stadium today to open a three-game series against the New York Yankees.
After taking two of three games from the Los Angeles Dodgers to open a nine-game road trip and push their record to three games over .500 at 39-36, the Mariners had yesterday off.
In the Yankees series, Mariners first-year manager Don Wakamatsu will start right-hander Brandon Morrow (0-3, 5.64) against right-hander Joba Chamberlain (4-2, 3.81) today, left-hander Jarrod Washburn (4-5, 3.22) against left-hander Andy Pettitte (7-3, 4.38) tomorrow and left-hander Jason Vargas (3-3, 3.79) against left-hander CC Sabathia (7-4, 3.55) Thursday.
All the games of the Yankees series start at 4:05 p.m.
