Staff Sgt. Joseph Camara

Hometown: New Bedford, Mass.
Unit: Army's 115th Military Police Company, U.S. Army National Guard, Cranston, R.I.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 1 when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle on Main Supply Route Tampa, south of Baghdad, Iraq.

Sgt. Charles T. Caldwell
Age: 38
Hometown: North Providence, R.I.
Unit: Army's 115th Military Police Company, U.S. Army National Guard, Cranston, R.I.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 1 when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle on Main Supply Route Tampa, south of Baghdad, Iraq.

Staff Sgt. Cameron B. Sarno
Age: 43
Hometown: Waipahu, Hawaii
Unit: Army's 257th Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve, Las Vegas, Nev.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 1 in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Sarno was hit by a truck while changing his vehicle's tire.

Pfc. Christopher A. Sisson
Age: 20
Hometown: Oak Park, Ill.
Unit: Army's 3rd Battalion, 325th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 2 in Baghdad, Iraq, in a UH-60 helicopter participating in an air assault mission. The helicopter flipped and crashed on takeoff.

Tech. Sgt. Bruce E. Brown
Age: 32
Hometown: Coatopa, Ala.
Unit: Air Force fuels supervisor assigned to the 78th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Robins Air Force Base, Ga.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 4 near Al Udeid, Qatar, in a motor vehicle accident.

Spc. Jarrett B. Thompson
Age: 27
Hometown: Dover, Del.
Unit: Army's 946th Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserve, Lewes, Del.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 7 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Thompson was in a convoy on Aug. 30 when a civilian vehicle passed the convoy and cut in front of the lead military vehicle and an approaching Iraqi truck. The driver of the civilian vehicle hit Thompson's truck.

Spc. Ryan G. Carlock
Age: 25
Hometown: Macomb, Ill.
Unit: Army's 416th Transportation Company, 260th Quartermaster Battalion (Petroleum Support), Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 9 northwest of Baghdad, Iraq, when his fuel truck was attacked by the enemy.

Staff Sgt. Joseph E. Robsky Jr.
Age: 31
Hometown: Elizaville, N.Y.
Unit: Army's 759th Ordnance Company, Fort Irwin, Calif.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 10 in Baghdad, Iraq. Robsky was on call to neutralize an improvised explosive device after the initial attempt failed. When he returned to the site to render it safe, the device detonated.

Sgt. Henry Ybarra III
Age: 32
Hometown: Austin, Texas
Unit: Army's D Troop, 6th Squadron, 6th Cavalry, Illesheim, Germany.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 11 in Balad, Iraq. Ybarra was changing the tire on a Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck when the tire exploded.

Master Sgt. Kevin N. Morehead
Age: 33
Hometown: Little Rock, Ark.
Unit: Army's 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 12 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit executed a raid on enemy forces.

Sgt. 1st Class William M. Bennett
Age: 35
Hometown: Seymour, Tenn.
Unit: Army's 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 12 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when his unit executed a raid on enemy forces.

Sgt. Trevor A. Blumberg
Age: 22
Hometown: Canton, Mich.
Unit: Army's 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 14 while on patrol in Baghdad, Iraq, when two improvised explosive devices struck his vehicle.

Staff Sgt. Kevin C. Kimmerly
Age: 31
Hometown: North Creek, N.Y.
Unit: Army's B Battery, 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment, based in Baumholder, Germany.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 15 while on patrol in Baghdad, Iraq, when his vehicle was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade.

Spc. Alyssa R. Peterson
Age: 27
Hometown: Flagstaff, Ariz.
Unit: Army's C Company, 311th Military Intelligence Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 15 in Telafar, Iraq, from a non-combat weapons discharge.

Sgt. Anthony O. Thompson
Age: 26
Hometown: Orangeburg, S.C.
Unit: Army's Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 18 during an ambush in Tikrit, Iraq, from small arms fire and a rocket-propelled grenade.

Spc. Richard Arriaga
Age: 20
Hometown: Ganado, Texas
Unit: Army's Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 18 during an ambush in Tikrit, Iraq, from small arms fire and a rocket-propelled grenade.

Unit: Army's Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 18 during an ambush in Tikrit, Iraq, when struck by small arms fire and a rocket-propelled grenade.

Capt. Brian R. Faunce
Age: 28
Hometown: Philadelphia, Pa.
Unit: Army's Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Carson, Colo.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 18 in Al Asad, Iraq. Faunce was in a Bradley Fighting Vehicle when it crossed under some low-hanging power lines. The soldier reached up and grabbed the lines and was fatally injured.

Staff Sgt. Frederick L. Miller Jr.
Age: 27
Hometown: Hagerstown, Ind.
Unit: Army's Troop K, 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 20 while conducting a security patrol in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his vehicle.

Spc. Lunsford B. Brown II

Hometown: Creedmore, N.C.
Unit: Army's A Company, 302nd Military Intelligence Battalion, Patton Barracks, Germany.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 20 during a mortar attack in Abu Gareeb, Iraq.

Circumstances: Died Sept. 20 during a mortar attack in Abu Gareeb, Iraq.

Unit: Army's B Battery, 2nd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Campbell, Ky.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 22 in Quest, Iraq, from a non-combat weapons discharge.

Spc. Michael Andrade
Age: 28
Hometown: Bristol, R.I.
Unit: Army's 115th Military Police Company, U.S. Army National Guard, Cranston, R.I.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 24 in Balad, Iraq. Andrade was a passenger in a high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV) when a 5-ton truck struck the side of his vehicle.

Sgt. 1st Class Robert E. Rooney
Age: 43
Hometown: Nashua, N.H.
Unit: Army's 379th Engineer Company, U.S. Army National Guard, based in Bourne, Mass.
Circumstances: Died Sep. 25 at Shuabai Port, Kuwait, after he was struck by a forklift.

Spc. Kyle G. Thomas
Age: 23
Hometown: Topeka, Kan.
Unit: Army's 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, based in Caserma Ederle, Italy.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 25 while on patrol in Tikrit, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device exploded.

Capt. Robert L. Lucero
Age: 34
Hometown: Casper, Wyo.
Unit: Army's 4th Infantry Division Rear Area Operation Center, U.S. Army National Guard, Casper, Wyo.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 25 in Tikrit, Iraq, when he was struck by an improvised explosive device.

Staff Sgt. Christopher E. Cutchall
Age: 30
Hometown: McConnellsburg, Pa.
Unit: Army's Delta Troop, 4th Cavalry, Fort Riley, Kan.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 29 while traveling in a convoy west of Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated as his vehicle passed by.

Sgt. Darrin K. Potter
Age: 24
Hometown: Louisville, Ky.
Unit: Army's 223rd Military Police Company, U.S. Army National Guard, Louisville, Ky.
Circumstances: Drowned Sept. 29 near Abu Ghraib prison, Iraq. Potter was a member of a Military Police team searching the prison area when his vehicle left the road and went into a canal. He died in the vehicle.

Sgt. Andrew Joseph Baddick
Age: 26
Hometown: Jim Thorpe, Pa.
Unit: Army's 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Circumstances: Drowned Sept. 29 as he tried to rescue another soldier whose vehicle had entered a canal near Abu Ghraib prison, Iraq.

Pfc. Kristian E. Parker
Age: 23
Hometown: Slidell, La.
Unit: Army's 205th Engineer Battalion, Army National Guard, Slidell, La.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 29 at Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar, from non-combat-related injuries.

Spc. Dustin K. McGaugh
Age: 20
Hometown: Derby, Kan.
Unit: Army's Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 17th Field Artillery Brigade, Fort Sill, Okla.
Circumstances: Died Sept. 30 in Balad, Iraq, from a non-hostile gunshot wound.
