Police removed evidence from a house on Winton Street.

DALLAS — Authorities executed warrants late Thursday looking for a man in connection with the death of SMU student Meaghan Bosch.

Armed with several warrants, Dallas police and Texas Rangers searched a home in the 5800 block of Winton Street, just east of the SMU campus.

Rangers want to talk with James McDaniel, 39, of Dallas. Police suspect he may have sold drugs to Bosch, and it is possible she suffered an overdose from those drugs.

There were no outward signs of trauma on Bosch's body, which was found in a portable toilet Monday about 100 miles south of Dallas.

But this is part of a bigger investigation. Police not only raided the house on Winton Street, but other places around the Dallas area.

Sources told News 8 they did find weapons at one other location.

McDaniels is believed to be the last person Bosch was with before she overdosed. Police want to know if McDaniels was there, if he tried to help her, and if he had anything to do with the disposal of her body.

Police said McDaniels is the only person they are looking at who may be involved in the Bosch case, but added that he is part of a larger investigation into drug sales.
