A Coast Guard helicopter crew has rescued a young Klamath Falls, Ore., man from a cliff on Humbug Mountain near Port Orford.
Petty Officer Shawn Eggert says the Coast Guard at North Bend, Ore., was called Tuesday night to help an unidentified 19-year-old man trapped on a cliff face after injuring his arm while climbing.
The helicopter crew was able to hoist the man into the chopper and then set him down on a beach where a waiting emergency medical team took him to Curry County General Hospital.
