Gilliam County Sheriff's deputies arrested a former Arlington School District deputy clerk on accusations of theft, forgery and official misconduct.
The deputies drove Danielle Galbert of Hermiston to the North Oregon Regional Correctional Facility. The 34-year-old was later released on $75,000 bail.
Arlington Superintendent Raymon Smith said this week that the school district placed Galbert on leave on Sept. 26 after suspicions led to a financial audit that found evidence of fraud.
Galbert resigned five days later, citing health reasons.
She had been a district employee since September 2005.
No court dates have been set.
