Winter Hawks slice the Ice 4-1

Tayler Jordan put Portland ahead and the Winter Hawks added two empty-net goals to beat the Kootenay Ice 4-1 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.
Portland goaltender Kurtis Mucha stopped 36 of 37 shots as the Winter Hawks won for the eighth time in 29 games.
Drew Czerwonka scored for Kootenay (16-11-2-3).
