An Eagle Point woman allegedly behind the wheel of a vehicle that struck and killed a 15-year-old boy pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of failing to perform the duties of a driver to an injured person.
The authorities say 51-year-old Mary Ann Shostrom did not stop after her vehicle struck Manuel Antonio-Gonzalez on April 13. The boy had been lying partly in the road near a Medford intersection.
Shostrom faces up to five years in prison and a $125,000 fine.
She has been granted a court-appointed attorney and remains free because she has no criminal history or record of failing to appear in court.
