A 61-year-old Washington man died and his wife was critically injured when their motorcycle collided with a turning pickup in northeast Oregon.
The Oregon State Police says David Sundstrom of Puyallup died at the scene Saturday and 52-year-old Jeanine Sundstrom was taken to a hospital in Walla Walla, where she remains in critical condition. Both were wearing helmets.
The crash happened on Oregon 11 near Athena.
Police say Hans Schroeder of Athena was making a left turn when his pickup towing a horse trailer was struck in the front bumper by the motorcycle.
Schroeder and his passengers were not hurt.
