A former Boy Scout leader was sentenced to 10 years in prison for trying to entice a 15-year-old girl in Massachusetts to Oregon to have sex with him.
James V. Reyes, 47, of Washington County, pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to transport a minor across state lines to engage in sexual activity, and a count of using the Internet to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.
U.S. District Judge Anna Brown sentenced Reyes Friday morning. He was also sentenced to five years of supervised release after his prison term. He must register as a sex offender and pay $1,260 to the victim's family.
