Are you ready for the much-anticipated scorcher? If you thought Thursday was hot, try Friday.
The National Weather Service says the hottest weather of the year starts Friday — just in time for the weekend with temperatures peaking at 94 degrees.
Sunny, warm weather will stretch into Saturday and Sunday, but temperatures won't be as hot. The high Saturday is expected to reach 87, and on Sunday, it will be 78.
And when it's time to go back to work on Monday, it will be time to put away the sunscreen.
With highs in the 70s and 60s, temperatures will be closer to average on Monday and Tuesday. Partly cloudy skies are also expected.
