The mayor, two city council members, city clerk and city attorney have all resigned in Mossy Rock.
The resignations are part of a split with three remaining members of the council that was apparent from the screaming at the Thursday night council meeting.
Bitter political differences in the Lewis County town of fewer than 1,000 people include a utility tax cut and a decision to purchase a new police car.
Mayor Jim Wilson says the city is in danger of losing its insurance through the Association of Washington Cities because it has no contingency funds.
Wilson says the state is conducting an audit and an exit meeting with the auditor on May 30 will be his final act as mayor.
