Oregon City police say a mother and her 2-year-old son were slightly injured when they were struck by a boat trailer backing into the water at a ramp on the Clackamas River.
Police say an officer on patrol Thursday at Clackamette Park heard yelling and saw 27-year-old Carman Cruz of Sherwood under the trailer, face down in the water.
The officer held her head out of the water until Cruz could be freed.
A witness pulled her toddler son from the river. Both were taken to OHSU with non-life threatening injuries.
The operator of the vehicle was not cited.
