A Yamhill County man is facing up to 95 years in prison after a jury convicted him of a string of sex crimes involving four rape victims, all teenage girls.
Troy Cavitt of Amity was also convicted of assault, witness tampering and solicitation of murder among the total of 54 counts against him — including 12 mandatory sentencing crimes.
The crimes occurred from 2002 through November 2007.
Testimony at his trial in McMinnville showed the 40-year-old Cavitt began sending love letters to one victim while he was in prison serving time for a manslaughter conviction.
Sentencing is June 23.
