The authorities say an 81-year-old man died Monday when his yard tractor overturned and pinned him in a water-filled ravine near his Cornelius house.
Sgt. David Thompson of the Washington County Sheriff's Office said Larry Bren Sr. was underneath the tractor for almost an hour before his body was found by his wife.
Thompson said Bren had been using the tractor to install a water feature on his property.
