The Oregon State Police says alcohol and speed possibly contributed to a three-car crash that killed a Dayton woman Sunday.
Police say a Ford Taurus driven by 26-year-old Leonel Loeza of Portland crossed a grass median on Highway 99 between Dundee and Newberg and struck a car driven by 51-year-old Carma Smith.
After the initial impact, Loeza's car collided with a Toyota Corolla four-door with four occupants.
Carma Smith died at the scene.
Loeza and his two passengers were seriously injured, with Loeza and one passenger taken to hospitals by LifeFlight.
The four people in the Toyota Corolla were not hurt.
OSP troopers from the McMinnville Area Command office are continuing the investigation. Highway 99W reopened at about 8:15 p.m.
