Cleveland High's Marshawna Williams crowned Rose Queen

The Rose Festival crowned Cleveland High's Marshawna Williams queen the morning of Saturday, June 7th.
The queen is selected from all of the Rose Festival princesses from area high schools.

The queen represents Portland and the Rose Festival for one year at appearances throughout the country and abroad. When choosing a queen, judges consider each court member's leadership and scholastic achievement, school activities, civic involvement, volunteer projects, communication skills, and overall impression.

•To showcase outstanding Portland area young women, while offering opportunities for further education and networking
•To take the Rose Festival out into the community through a schedule of visits
