Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the global leader in the breast cancer movement, has received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator for the second year in a row.

Charity Navigator is the nation's largest and most relied-upon evaluator of charities. A four-star rating from this philanthropy-savvy website denotes Susan G. Komen for the Cure as an organization that “exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its cause.” That means donors can give with confidence.

"Applause and thanks go to our Affiliates, our volunteers and our staff, who are responsible for continued strong revenue growth and wise program expenditures toward our mission to end breast cancer forever," said Susan G. Komen for the Cure President and CEO, Hala Moddelmog.

This year, Komen for the Cure, received a 63.34 rating from Charity Navigator, exceeding last year's 63.25 rating. The rating is determined by evaluating the organization’s financial health, its organizational efficiency and organizational capacity. Komen for the Cure raised more than $275 million in revenue for the fiscal year ending March 1, 2007.

Charity Navigator helps donors make donation decisions by closely examining the finances of more than 5,000 charities annually. The ratings show potential donors how efficiently Charity Navigator believes a charity will use donor support right now, and how the organization is positioned to continue providing programs and services in the future.
