The 17th annual Komen Race For the Cure takes place Sunday, September 21st, 2008.

The starting line for all events is on Naito Parkway near SW Taylor Street and the finish line is at the corner of SW Oak and Naito Parkway.

For the first time this year, there will be a timed 5K run.

Individual participants can register online, through the mail or at the Health Expo in the Oregon Convention Center.

Each years, tens of thousands of people converge in downtown Portland to participate in the Komen Race For the Cure, which raises money to find a cure for breast cancer.
