Parks & Recreation provides off-leash areas in 30 city parks. Because they
want every park visitor to have a fun and positive experience, they ask
that dog owners help keep their pets safe and make the off-leash program

Northwest NewsChannel 8 is committed to serving the community in all our efforts. We're proud to be part of a vital, unique community that we cherish. As corporate leaders, we share the responsibility to advance a vision of not just what our community is, but what we can become. Each year we devote nearly a million dollars in airtime and staff resources to support our NewsChannel 8 Great Toy Drive, the NewsChannel 8 Great Food Drive, the Komen Portland Race for the Cure, The SOLV Beach Clean-ups and many more public service efforts. Nothing is more rewarding than bringing toys to needy children, putting food on a family's plate, offering hope to breast cancer patients or seeing our coastline pristine again. Good corporate citizenship is good business and builds vibrant communities, both essential elements for the Oregon that we love. DJ Wilson. President & General Manager KGW |
