This year’s campaign benefiting Schoolhouse Supplies, takes place August 3rd thru September 7th.

KGW is proud to conduct the largest Toy Drive in the Northwest in partnership with BlueCross BlueShield and Les Schwab Tire Centers. Having concluded its 27th year, The Great Toy Drive continues to set new records. In 2008, the generosity of KGW viewers was extraordinary enabling us to provide tens of thousands of toys to more than 90 local agencies for distribution.

Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Greg Oden joined Oregon Mentors, a non-profit organization unifying youth mentoring programs throughout the state, to announce a statewide mentoring awareness initiative. The formation of "Team ODEN" is aimed at helping Oregon Mentors reach its goal to connect 40,000 youth with caring adult mentors by 2010.
