The fishing vessel, called the Hot Tuna, sank after the crew was transferred onto a Coast Guard motor lifeboat.
The crew called the Coast Guard just after 6 a.m. to report that their boat was sinking. One of two motor lifeboats that responded tried to keep the vessel afloat by pumping out water but that effort failed.
No injuries were reported.
