KGW Weekend Weather
Jim Donovan anchors the weekend weather for KGW NewsChannel 8. He joined NewsChannel 8 in 1990.
Jim graduated from Portland State University and has spent 30 years in Portland television and radio. He received seven years of weather training from Jack Capell, a retired Meteorologist from KGW NewsChannel 8. In addition to Jim's duties at NewsChannel 8, he works for 97.1 KISN-FM and can be heard weekdays.
Jim is involved with organizations such as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, March of Dimes Providence Child Center and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
He and his wife Roxann have two children, Justin and Hilary. They also have two dogs, Beau and Cosmo.
Donovan states that his number one accomplishment in life is helping raise his kids to be well balanced, happy, young adults.
In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis and golf. He also likes to travel and cook.
