WSDOT to hold meeting on SR-14 improvements tonight

WSDOT wants input on SR 14 construction project

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- The Washington State Department of Transportation will hold an open house Wednesday evening to gather input on what should be done to improve rush hour on SR-14.

The stretch of SR-14 between I-205 and Southeast 164th Avenue gets really crowded during the rush hour commute, with substantial traffic merging at the SR 14/I-205 Interchange and at SE 164th Avenue.

Construction on this $25 million project is scheduled to begin 2020. It will address safety, congestion and inconsistent travel times along the corridor.

Wednesday's open house will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at C-Tran Fisher's Landing Transit Center, 3510 SE 164th Avenue.

Those who are interested, but are unable to attend the WSDOT open house can provide input about the project by filling out a brief online survey.
