SPOKANE, Wash.--Police arrested a 16-time convicted felon after he attempted to flee from police on a stolen bicycle. Alexander Stormy, 29, was booked into jail for Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Spokane Police Neighborhood Conditions Officers watched Stormy near the intersection of Second and Wall. Officers recognized Stormy from previous arrests.
 
When police attempted to contact Stormy for traffic violations, he fled the area on his bike. Officers found him about a block away and took him into Custody.

The bike Stormy was riding was worth $3,500 according to police. Officers checked the serial number and found it had been reported stolen in a garage burglary on August 12, 2013.

Officers found methamphetamine in Stormy’s backpack.
